Dr. Gaston joined the Brilliant Smiles team in September of 2019. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1981 with a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology where he had conducted research on the isolation and characterization of the membrane transport protein for Vitamin K in Bacteroides melaninogenicus. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1985 where he continued to conduct research while completing his curriculum. He then entered in Private Practice as an associate and in his own private practice for 20 years. He comes to our office with over 30 years of experience!
Dr. Gaston has continued his education with focus on endodontics (root canals), cosmetic dentistry and prosthodontic restorations. He continues to conduct research in the fields of dental radiology, as well as phytochemicals and their relationships to antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects.
Dr. Gaston enjoys being a husband, father of five and grandfather of five. He is an avid outdoorsman enjoying kayaking, fly fishing, and nature preservation.
